Kanye West’s Mom, Dr. Donda West, died today.
Kim called me asking me if I had heard about it. I hadn’t. A quick google search later..my heart sank.
Remember when I met her at Kanye’s first headling concert in Miami. I walked up to her and gave her a hug and told her that I hoped that my sons turn out to be phenomenal men like Kanye.
Then in May I interviewed her when I worked at the website. We talked about Raising Kanye, the book she had just released. It was a great conversation and my director even told me that when she spotted Ms. West on THE CRUISE, Ms. West told her that she really enjoyed doing my interview.
I’m glad that I got to tell her that I thought she was a great Mom.
I know that my baby Kanye will be okay… I’m praying for him and his family and I am know that her spirit is not dead. She got to see her baby living the GOOD LIFE…that’s every mother’s dream. She can rest easy now. She proved to be a success.
